ANN COLLIER

Ann has been making lace since 1976 and specializes in fans.  She has made over 220 so far, all different, and has been experimenting in 3D effects.

She sat the City and Guilds exams in Dress, Design and Embroidery in the 1970’s and taught at Newbury College and local schools.  She has written seven books on various aspects of lace, both miniature and contemporary and has taught lace in most parts of the world.

Ann was chairman of the Lace Guild and also President of OIDFA in the ‘80s and ‘90s.  She was one of the first assessors of City and Guilds Lace in 1988.

Always experimental she has explored all the laces and often combines one or more to achieve the effect she requires.  At 95, she is still prolific in her lace output.
