PAT BRUNSDON

Pat Brunsdon started making traditional bobbin lace many years ago teaching both bobbin and needlelace before embarking on a City and Guilds course, where she discovered the delights of colour and texture. She now enjoys taking what is usually perceived as a flat textile into free standing 3 dimensional objects. She enjoys the challenges of how to support the lace structures, when the shapes become more complex using wire within the construction is invaluable. Although her aim is to move lacemaking into more of an ‘Art Form’ she does like it to contain some recognisable technique.
